Photos from Sept 10 Bush to Beach Walk 2017

Photos from Sept 10 walk

The Friends of Hollywood Reserve showed us around ... everyone enjoyed the blaze of colour ... and impressed by the work being done here ...
... and the morning tea provided by Friends of Hollywood and Council ... thanks!
Heidi Hardisty showed us around the amazing work done by the Friends of Lake Claremont over the past 12 years ... reminded me of how long it is since I have been here ... the place is barely recognizable from the days we used to walk along the golf course which went right up to the water's edge. Thanks to Heidi and Soozie Ross for hospitality at the Friends of Lake Claremont shed.
We ran out of time to get to the top of Reabold Hill for afternoon tea ... so had a brief stop at this lookout in Bold Park ... only 2km back  (as the crow flies) ...

Reflections from the Bush to Beach Walk

We had perfect weather for the walk ... cool start with a fresh easterly and cloud, but warming up as we went along .. and a wonderful group of participants (about 40 joined us for various sections along the way) ...and the tide was out so far that we were able to visit places otherwise hard to get to!

Some highlights from the walk (thanks to Nancye Miles-Tweedie for the photos!) include ...

Walking along Mosman Bay foreshore ... look carefully and you will see the Osprey circling amongst the trees!
