The Friends of Hollywood Reserve showed us around ... everyone enjoyed the blaze of colour ... and impressed by the work being done here ...
... and the morning tea provided by Friends of Hollywood and Council ... thanks!
Heidi Hardisty showed us around the amazing work done by the Friends of Lake Claremont over the past 12 years ... reminded me of how long it is since I have been here ... the place is barely recognizable from the days we used to walk along the golf course which went right up to the water's edge. Thanks to Heidi and Soozie Ross for hospitality at the Friends of Lake Claremont shed.
We ran out of time to get to the top of Reabold Hill for afternoon tea ... so had a brief stop at this lookout in Bold Park ... only 2km back  (as the crow flies) ...

2016 Bush to Beach Walk - Fremantle to Canning Bridge

Sunday 25th September

Welcome to the 2016 Bush to Beach Walk. This walk is being organised by the Friends of Shenton Bushland Inc in conjunction with the Swan Estuaries Reserves Action Group (SERAG) which supports the Marine Park and adjacent A-Class Nature Reserve and other remnant bushland in and around Alfred Cove.

Proposed date for the walk is World Rivers Day (Sunday 25th September).

Each year for the past 13 years the Friends of Shenton Bushland have collaborated with other friends groups to organise a walk through remnant bush lands and coastal areas in Perth's western suburbs.

This year's walk is planned to begin at 10am on Sunday 25th September at the Fremantle Train Station. The walk is 19km long, with a couple of stops for morning tea, a (byo) picnic lunch break at  Alfred Cove and ending at the Canning Bridge Train Station in the afternoon. SERAG will provide some extra refreshments at our lunch stop at Alfred Cove.

Participants are welcome to walk the entire trail or sections that suit their interests.
